Your base

Clermont-Ferrand has the most hotels in the area and good train links, and two of the three stages start or finish there. Book early: the Puy de Dôme finish will draw a big crowd. Royat and Orcines, at the foot of the volcano, are closer to the last climb but have fewer rooms.

Day by day

  1. Thu 5 August 2027 · Tour de France Femmes, Stage 7: Nevers → La Loge des Gardes

Drive to La Loge des Gardes, in the hills east of Vichy, for the summit finish of Stage 7 from Nevers. It is the longest drive of the trip, so leave early.

  2. Fri 6 August 2027 · Tour de France Femmes, Stage 8: La Bourboule → Clermont-Ferrand

Stage 8 comes from La Bourboule through the volcano country and finishes in Clermont-Ferrand. Watch on the Côte de Charade, the last climb, or at the finish in town.

  3. Sat 7 August 2027 · Tour de France Femmes, Stage 9: Clermont-Ferrand → Puy de Dôme

The final stage starts in Clermont-Ferrand and finishes on the Puy de Dôme. Watch the start in the morning, then find a spot on the lower slopes or around the base of the volcano. Check the organisers' access rules for the summit before you go.

Getting around

Clermont-Ferrand has trains from Paris in about three and a half hours, and its own airport. A car makes La Loge des Gardes on Stage 7 much easier.

Host councils publish road closure times and park and ride plans in the months before the race. We add them here as they come out.
